HELP OUR GRADUATES THRIVE.
Starting a career can be a daunting prospect for any new college graduate but foster youth graduating from college face unique challenges when seeking professional employment. Our scholars often don’t have the support systems, professional networks, or contacts that their non-foster peers do. Our goal at Pivotal is to connect our scholars with internships or full-time positions at organizations in their field of interest and help them launch their professional careers.
INTERNSHIPS ARE JUST THE BEGINNING
Internships are a big part of Pivotal’s strategy to prepare students for professional success. Scholars who complete a professional internship before graduation are able to expand their network, build skills and confidence, and gain valuable real-world experience. But internships are just the beginning. Pivotal scholars still need significant support in finding long-term career opportunities, preparing for interviews, and getting hired. We provide students with training on business etiquette, common software, presentation skills, and more to help them prepare to hit the ground running when they start in a new role.
WHEN THEY WORK, IT'S GOOD FOR EVERYONE
Help us grow our network of businesses who can connect our scholars to career-worthy opportunities! If your company has openings in the fields below, or may in the future, please let us know! Pivotal students are hard-working and motivated and could prove to be your most valuable future employees! And, when you employ them, you show your community - and your company - that helping these young people launch their careers is in everyone's best interest.
